Let's talk non-invasive ventilation! What are the differences between CPAP and BiPAP? ◾ CPAP = CONTINUOUS positive airway pressure! There is ONE pressure and it is CONSTANT! This pressure helps keep the client's lungs open. ◾ BiPAP = BI-LEVEL positive airway pressure! There is a pressure when the client breathes in, and a different pressure when they breathe out.
