Several Minnesotans works are now on display the Smithsonian American Art Museum’s new exhibit “State Fairs: Growing American Craft.” Front and center is the promotional image: A crop art work by Minneapolis artist Liz Schreiber. Schreiber grew up in Virginia going to the museums and said, “I kind of flipped out when I got this email.” The Smithsonian visited the Minnesota State Fair in 2023 while Schreiber’s commemorative art piece was on display. They later commissioned her to make the piece w
