Ratu Asesela Robanakadavu or 'Jim Fiji' as he was fondly known to Canadians back then, was a Fijian falla who went to Canada in the 1890s and made both a life and a name for himself, such that when he disappeared in 1931, the Inuit renamed 'Little Booth Island' to 'Fiji Island' in his honour.
